Extended Closures and Reopening

How to handle BluTube when out of office for more than two weeks

Before closing your dental office

1. Remove the BluTube straw

2. Wipe down the BluTube

3. Place the BluTube in a plastic zip-lock bag

4. Label the bag with the correct operatory number and installation date

5. Store the bag away from sun exposure

6. Air purge waterlines until water completely gone

7. Follow your dental unit manufacturer instructions for storage or periods of inactivity

Before re-opening your dental office

1. Follow your dental unit manufacturer instructions for returning to office following long periods of inactivity

2. Clean water bottle prior to use

3. Shock your waterlines using Diluted Bleach or Liquid Ultra using dummy straw

4. Re-Install or install BluTube straw

5. Flush unit for at least two minutes prior to use
